OSI Technologies Launches in New York, Bringing Full-service IT Solutions to Small- and Mid-size Businesses in Tri-state Area

(NEW YORK) - January 1, 1997 – OSI Technologies Inc. (OSI), headquartered in Hauppauge, NY, announces the launch of a full-service IT consulting firm to help meet the needs of this growing segment. OSI provides technology centered strategic planning, implementation, and support to small- and mid-sized business in the NY Metropolitan and tri-state area. This firm has seen immediate interest from the legal, medical, and entrepreneurial spaces.

OSI was formed by Alex Leone and Scott Schafer, two Long Island-based entrepreneurs with years of technical applications experience who saw a vast need in the small business community for affordable IT solutions. Both Leone and Schafer have extensive practical and academic experience in technology and engineering. Schafer held several senior positions at Visiting Nurse Service, Xerox and CMP Media. He specializes in network design, implementation, and management, and is a certified by Microsoft, Net Ware, US Robotics, Citrix, and IBM. Leone held several senior positions at Xerox, CMP Media, and Pall Corporation. He specializes in network operating systems and messaging systems, and is certified by Microsoft, Net Ware, Firewall 1, and IBM.
